Jericho Cares was a life saver for me and my daughter. The WIC provided us with food and formula but it was Jericho Cares who provided us with other essentials such as diapers and wipes, as well as food not covered by WIC. KP

Jericho Cares has helped me alot,with bike,pots and pans for my apartment I got after being housed in a hotel for 22 months,and two television sets,plus food packages every month that made a big difference for me each month,the assistance that they have provided towards me /others has been above and beyond their call of duty!! Jericho Cares and Ms. Fran and her volunteers have helped me and my daughter in so many ways. When I was struggling as a single mom, I found Ms. Fran who always made sure i could provide a special Christmas for my daughter. When I didn't have enough food, or when I was sick and I couldn't walk and I. Pain, Jericho Cares was there to drop off food. They are such an amazing organization that it's helped me to always pay it forward when I can. I recommend them to any grant in order to continue their beautiful and selfless work. Jericho care’s has helped my family tremendously around the holidays. A woman came to my home to delivery a donation, it was such a blessing and very appreciated. During Easter I came with one of my children, she was able to get her face painted and do some children activities with some volunteers. The organization is wonderful and definitely deserves the grant to help families in need. BC

Jericho Cares has been a huge help and a wonderful support for me. I don’t drive here and don’t have a car here and work remotely fulltime at a low wage job and struggle to afford Long Island rent etc. jericho cares has provided me with a lot of wonderful things as well as their support. Our family has benefited tremendously from their assistance, particularly with regards to food insecurity around the holiday season. We have applied to many of there holiday programs. In particularly, I will talk about their Christmas program. Last Christmas was difficult for us because we have recently moved back to New York to be with my dad because my mom had passed away. At the moment, my husband is the only one working as I am a full-time college student and we also have four kids. My oldest has autism and some of my other kids have learning disabilities. I am a stay at home mom studying my degree online And I am studying full-time. Their Christmas program has provided our family with gifts for my kids and clothes. When the holiday season approaches the e-mail a form to fill out with everyone’s clothing size and toys they may like. My kids were able to receive an abundance of things such as shoes, jackets toys that they wanted and they have also provided food for Christmas. This has really helped my family through the holiday season from Thanksgiving to Christmas to Easter. Jericho Cares' dedication to supporting families in need is truly commendable. Their services have made a significant difference in our lives, and I am confident that they will continue to provide vital support to countless families in the community. Jericho cares, over the years has helped My family many times, esp with back to school backpacks, and even sneakers of which the kids got to decide what brand, what colors etc. Also, at Christmas time we would receive small gifts for the 2 kids in the family, as the organization gets so many requests from families. They are a great organization, and have always reached out to me via email, for any help they could offer. I also was interested in trying to afford a used car, as i am disabled, my needs have now changed to just me living alone. But jericho cares has always been extremely helpful, and kept in touch with me over these past years. They are such great people, who never shame me for asking for help, and are well known in the community. They really do a great job, overall. AH

Jericho Cares visits our emergency housing motel, to help everyone have a better life. The very kind Board Members and wonderful volunteers anticipate our needs. They offer us delicious food, toiletries and take requests for our needs and wants. They provide clothing, masks, sanitizer and Covid tests during Covid, small appliances to help with food preparation, baby car seats, diapers and baby supplies. They recognize and celebrate Holidays with us, provide back to school sneakers, backpacks and supplies. Art supplies are available so children can be creative and books to read for pleasure. Their constant support makes us resilient and hopeful. They personify: What wisdom exists that is greater than kindness? Jericho Cares extends kindness, caring and support without judgment. They spend countless hours preparing for our well being. They have food drives to continually give us good nutrition. People feel seen, heard and flourish in this supportive environment. They happily show up in any weather. Jericho Cares helps individuals and families when they are blessed to move to housing. They even continue their support with monthly deliveries. They are very gracious and empathetic. They overlook our sometimes bad manners, listen to our complaints and often help us without thanks or appreciation. Jericho Cares is a wonderful organization, offering the best of humanity. DF

I am a single mother of one son. I have a lot of family that often comes to visit. I have a mom and baby brother who also need things which I bring to them(they are currently getting physical therapy in a rehab) when I have anything extra. I even have one lady who stays at my house from time to time she helps me with my son but she is homeless in reality and I provide meals for her and hygiene products when I can. I receive foodstamps and no cash assistance Jericho Cares makes it possible for me to have diapers or pull-ups and wipes for my son soap body lotion deodorant. Household items like fish detergent even a cloth laundry detergent. It is essential to keep this program going because it is growing rapidly this month I didn’t receive the diapers, wipes, or any of the household items like tooth brush or toothpaste because they are running low they need funds, they need sponsors and investors this is a really great program. They have helped me with shoes and clothing when they have it even a mini toaster oven. I live in a house however there are people living in motels and shelters that Jericho Cares helps. Please endorse funding for Jericho cares TN

I am raising my 2 Grandchildren which is very challenging at my age and yet Jericho has helped me with food, diapers and basic essentials that I need on my limited budget..I can't say enough about their support and kindness. Jericho Cares has been a beacon of support for our family. The tireless efforts of their volunteers have given us delicious, nutritious food, and even seasonal clothing. We were surprised and touched by the bounty of the items that they gave us for Thanksgiving. This made a day that could have been sad, special and festive. They even reached out to us to see whether we celebrated Passover. When they heard that we did, they arranged to deliver some shelf stable items that were Kosher for Passover. Our family has always observed this holiday, but with inflation, we were concerned that we might not be able to eat the required foods for all eight days. Jericho Cares helped us to feel seen and respected by offering us our culturally relevant and necessary food items. I urge you to consider supporting Jericho Cares in their critical mission. This will make a real difference in the lives of our family members and all the other families who they help. CK

My family and I met the wonderful people of Jericho Cares back in 2019 at the Edgewood Motel located in Jericho.When I first heard of them I was scared to go ask for food but they made me feel welcome by the third time that they came to the motel they knew my family by name. Not only did they donate food to homeless families like mines they also gave us encouraging words. They also gave me clothes to get out into the work field. The volunteers of Jericho Cares have become like family to me. We need more programs like Jericho Cares in other communities. The volunteers definitely go above and beyond for their community AJ
